CLICK HERE to get 10-Minute Trainer Resistance Bands that don’t break

Q:  How much weight are the 10 minute trainer resistance bands equivalent to?  Not the heavy ones, Just the ones you get with the pack.  My dad wants to know because he doesn’t want to lose muscle, and still wants to get a good workout for the arms.  Should we just buy a upgrade kit which would bring up the weights to 28 pounds.

10-Minute Trainer Resistance BandsA:  Take a look at the resistance tube picture on the right.  That’s the one that comes with the 10-Minute Trainer program.  If that red tube is the same red tube used by the rest of the Beach Body products, then it’s 30 lb.  The brand name of those bands is B-Lines.  I’ve been reading the reviews about those bands and people are complaining that the handles are breaking, even the replacement handles they’ve had to order have broken.  The reviews are really bad.  Those handles are breaking only after a few uses.  See that little nub at the end of the tube?  That fits into that little slot in the handle.  It’s that slot that’s breaking.  The material it’s made from cracks and crumbles.

Bodylastics Resistance Bands and AccessoriesNow take a look at a Bodylastics resistance band in the picture on the left.  The tubes have heavy duty clips.  The tension level is stamped right on the clip so there is no guessing how heavy they are.  Notice the heavy duty ring on the handles.  Neither the clips or the handle is going to break.  Bodylastics has a lifetime defect replacement warranty.  The B-Lines warrant is only 30 days.  Also, Bodylastics bands cannot snap.  They have something called D.G.S. Anti-Snap Technology.

If you haven’t already guessed by now, you can clip multiple bands onto a handle to get even more resistance.  If your dad doesn’t want to lose muscle, he’s going to love the Bodylastics bands because he’ll be able to progressively increase resistance has his muscle adapt.

I might as well point out the other features, too.  Each Bodylastics set come complete with padded handles, padded ankle straps that can also be used as wrist straps, and a door anchor.  The door anchor that comes with the 10-Minute Trainer kit has to be placed into the crack of the door on the hinge side.  Common sense tells you that you do not stick stuff in that spot without risk of springing the hinges.  The Bodylastics door anchor can be place along the top, side and bottom of the door for working out at multiple angles for a total body workout.  And with that large foam piece on the end, there is no way it’s going to pull through.

You say your dad wants a good workout for his arms.  Why settle for just the arms?  The Bodylastics system can workout your entire body.  The 10-Minute Trainer workout program is good and I’m not knocking the workout portion of the program.  But you’ll be really disappointed if you buy their resistance bands upgrade kit.

Go with Bodylastics Resistance Bands.  Workoutz Resistance Bands are a good second choice.
